The smell from the grill could spark up nostalgia...

Summer is officially upon us. This sort of weather invites harmony, women reward us for leaving our houses by dressing in the most sumptous attire possible, ice cream van songs fill the air, and a pint outside at midday doesn't label you an alky. Obviously I had to load up a banger to sum up the mood..so here it is.

Cracker antics..

With Beats&Rhymes only a few days away, its only right that I drop this recently recorded video of Cracker Jon, who will be ripping up the set for the crowd on Thursday night. Straight muckyness.
Show your faces - Beats&Rhymes @ The Native Tongue on Thursday 7th April.

Closer than twins..

Time for a bit of fresh homegrown ish. This is off Verb T's latest album, and features one of my all time favourite emcees, Jehst. This is a zoner.

A sad day.

This morning I received the news that G Funk pioneer Nate Dogg passed away, from a suspected stroke. Needless to say this is a massive shock to the hip-hop community. Most of the songs that led me to love the scene in my youth featured this dude. Its only befitting that I drop an absolute 100% no nonsense banger by the late great Nate. Enjoy, and peace be with those left to greave.

Blu Colla Worker.

Quick post, and a drop from a big underground name, Blu. Dude is ill, and this is off his 'Below the Heavens' LP. Majorly undervalued artist and a true gem. Enjoi.

RZArection.

The RZA is one of the most influential producers of all time, and certaintly the reason I was directed towards the more gritty New York scene of the early/mid 90's. In homage to this super-producer and emcee, I sketched this portrait using a selection of B graphite pencils. It was the first properly detailed drawing I've done, and as picky as I am, I liked the final outcome.
Heres a classic Wu banger to set you're day off right. C.R.E.A.M. y'all.
